A People of Unclean Lips

By Greg Chandler February 25, 2024
Influence is powerful; most would be surprised at how easily one can be influenced by the subtle forces of society and peers. The prophet Isaiah had a moment of realization as he stood in the presence of the Lord, exclaiming, “I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips” (6:5). Though he had preached against sin, he understood that he, too, had been impacted by the wicked society around him and needed the Lord’s forgiveness. This study will focus on how we, too, must be careful to steer clear of the kinds of influences that promote uncleanness both in personal relationships as well as those within the church, making sure we present ourselves holy to the Lord.
