Receive the Kingdom Like a Child
By Greg Chandler March 8, 2026- Jesus spoke often about entering His kingdom, but one statement in particular must have startled His disciples: “Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it” (Mark 10:15). In a world that values independence and self-sufficiency, Jesus teaches that the kingdom of God is received in a very different way — with the simple trust of a child. What did Jesus mean by such a surprising statement? This sermon will explore this teaching and consider what it means for us today.
